OK I forgot how much I hate this time of year. Chance was sick last Thursday and Friday and had to stay home from school, which didn't make him too happy. He was asthma and this croup settles in that little chest of his and we have heck. The poor little boy coughs till he has a head ache, or throws up, which is what usually happens. All day Thursday and into Friday he had nebulizer treatments every four hours, plus the prescription he takes when he gets like this, plus his singular and cough medicine. We pitch a tent (literally) in the living room put a vaporizer in it and let him "camp out" till it breaks loose. The tent does wonders. Chance loves to camp inside thinks it is pretty cool. I have to kick in extra patience because the tent bugs me in the living room. I need to chill out. The junk in his chest finally broke loose. He still has the cough so I hope he is on the down hill side.
Woke up this morning and Dakota had a horrid cough. We had him well baby check today to start immunizations. Needless to say the Dr. said no shots. Didn't break my heat any I hate shots. Here it is the peak of RSV season and I am paranoid. We had Logan in the hospital at 18 month with signs of RSV and that was bad enough, I would hate to see a kid with RSV, the signs Logan had were scary enough. We are now treating Dakota with the nebulizer and the Rx so hopefully he will be able to kick it. We are now behind on his shots but can deal with that better than RSV.
Came home from the Dr. and Logan has started a little cough which is how Chance started so I am just going to start him on the same stuff. and hope we get it before it gets him. Logan don't let much slow him down so when he gets the bug he just don't understand how sitting still and mellowing out could help him. Chance is finally understanding that. We are running 3 humidifier's in our house so maybe this will help Logan. The reason I was most scared about having a baby this time of year was the RSV scare but me just have to deal with it as it comes.
I am pretty much home bound because I don't want Dakota sick. It is hard sometimes when you realize on a Thursday you haven't been outside, but this too shall pass.
Ray and I have been pretty lucky so far. Neither one of us have been sick. Ray had a cold around the time Dakota was born. (I think he has been sick every time we have brought a new baby home.) But other than that we have been pretty lucky. As much as Ray is outside and around other people you would think he would be sick a lot more but so far so good. But anyway this my friends is why I Hate This Time of Year.

A Little About The Boys
Chance Raymond will be 7 in May. Time goes by so fast. Don't seem like he can be that old yet. He started kindergarten this year. He really seems to like it. He is pretty social. I think he talks a lot in class but seems to get his work done. Chance loves to be outside. He really likes the horses but can't be around them or the hay very often. He has asthma but don't seem to let it stop him from doing the things he likes to do. He gets chocked up comes in and gets medicine and goes right back to what he was doing. We are in high hopes that he will out grow it.
Chance is a very good big brother. Sometimes he gets a little up set with Logan, but if he hits or fights with Logan he is the first to cry because he feels bad for hurting Logan. He is pretty tender hearted. He is a good helper with Dakota too. He loves to hold him. Helps mommy out when I am cooking dinner sometimes. He loves to spend time with his daddy. Dad's do the fun stuff like hunting and shooting guns and all that stuff. So he loves to spend time with Ray. Chance is a pretty good little worker. He does his chores every night after school and helps Ray get wood up on the weekends. On Wednesday mornings he and Logan gather the trash up for trash day. We are so thankful for Chance. He is a good little boy.
Logan Charles will be 4 in September. He is a naughty little boy. I am sure you can tell that by looking at his picture. He is tough too. Pretty hard to make the kid cry. Could care less when he is in trouble. Logan is pure cowboy. He loves loves loves the horses. I wish he was a little scared of them but he's not. He would live outside if we would let him. He asks Ray all the time to help him milk the goats or rope one or ride a horse. He is a active little boy. He keeps me on my toes all the time. I get scared when its quite at our house. He wants really bad to be able to say bad words so he made up his own to say till he gets big. His bad word is BAD BOY its a rough one I know but no one else is allowed to say it and if you do he makes a big deal out of it. He is also our little worker, as long as the work is outside. He can make the biggest messes inside and throws a fit to clean them up. He can trash a room in record time. We are having hell now. He never did go to nursery he hated it. He would scream and cry the entire time he was there. He would cry after sacrament meeting. As soon as amen was said he would start. No mommy I don't want to go to nursery. He is now a sunbeam. He won't do that either. Sunday they took him to Ray because he was running around. He don't cry to go now he just raises hell. Don't know what we are going to do with that one.
Dakota Price is now 2 months old. Time is really going by fast with this one. He is such a sweet little boy. I really want a mellow child after Logan. He usually wakes up at night once or twice. I can nurse him and he is back to sleep. That has been nice, I was not that lucky with the other two. Dakota seems so patient. Someone is always in his poor little face and he don't seem to get too annoyed. When he is having a grouch day watch out. He lets ya know it. Monday and Tuesday were grouchy days. I did nothing but hold the little boy. I could not even lay him down to sleep. Doing better today. Thank goodness. It is days like that I am so thankful I am a stay at home mom. Don't really know what else I can add about him he is pretty new. He is such a joy, I am thankful we had another one.

Ray and I were married in June of 2000. We lived in a apartment in LaJara. Ray worked for the City of Alamosa and I was employed by CIA Leavitt Insurance. We lived a happy and eventful life. Our time in the summer was spent riding horses, camping, riding 4 wheelers, riding around in the mountains, hanging out with friends, and of course hunting in the fall. In the winter I learned the perks of being married to Ray working for the City. Many nights were spent alone while he plowed snow. I complained till payday, that was always a nice treat.
Time flew by before we new it a year had gone by. Ray and I were sealed in the Albuquerque, Temple on June 8th. It was a wonderful experience. We stayed busy. We like to have never stayed home on the weekends. In August I quit the insurance business and started working at Community Bank in LaJara, a block from home, which was nice. After a couple of weeks working there we found out we were expecting. We were both beside ourselves. That was a long nine months. We couldn't stand it we had to tell everyone as soon as we knew.
In May 2002 we were blessed with our first little boy, Chance Raymond. What a joy. Ray continued to work for the City and I faced one of the harder decisions ever. I left my 6 week old little boy and went back to work at the bank. It was hard but something that had to be done. Hopefully just temporary.
In 2003 we moved to Bountiful, CO. Ray loved being closer to his horses, having a yard and being able to be outside. I love the fact that Chance could play outside without being in the street. I was also able to only work part time at the bank.
In 2004 I was loving being a stay at home mom. Ray was still with the City. We struggled but we got by. I loved having a yard planting flowers and being outside. It was nice for a change. Chance also received his first puppy (Penny) he loves that dog to this day. I had to undergo back surgery. Which made me more grateful to be married to someone like Ray. He took really good care of me.
In January of 2005 we found out we would be blessed with another baby. We were so excited. Chance was pretty excited also. We later found out we were having another boy and were due in September, in the middle of Ray's hunting season. He was a good sport. Logan Charles was born September 10th. I am sure many of Logan's birthday's will be spent at hunting camp, which would be fine with him.
In 2006 our family moved into a new home. We were able to put it in where our existing home stood. We camped out for most of the summer but it was worth the wait. We have a lot more room. We love our new home. In December tragic struck our lives for the first time since Ray and I were married. Mom was killed in a car accident. Mom and I were the best of friends and times were tough for a while. But again I could not have gone through it without the strength of Ray in my life. He really pulled me through it. Helped me keep my head up. Times were pretty rough on Chance as well. He and mom were really close. Through this trial we were drawn so much closer as a family. I know the Lord gives us no more than we can handle. I am ever so thankful for my religion and the things mom taught me. He gave us the strength to get through. Ray was still employed with the City and I was working Monday's and Saturday's at the bank. We both loved our jobs which helped.
In 2007 Chance started Pre-K at Little Treasures in La Jara 3 days a week for 1/2 a day. He didn’t like the idea at first but loved it the second day. Logan hung out at home with mommy while Ray brought home the bacon. In October we lost Grandpa Bud to cancer. It was rough but no one wanted to see him suffer. He is missed.
In March of 2008 we found we were expecting again. We were all so excited we were going to get our girl. Ray just new mom would see to it that he got his little girl. Boy were we fooled. IT'S A BOY. I actually sighed a sigh of relief I don't know how to take care of a girl. Boy was I sick this time. Do I have the courage to do it again?? Ray was prompted the Street Maintenance Supervisor. We were all pretty excited about that. He deserved it. His patience paid off. WAY TO GO RAY!!! Our Dakota Price was born on November 22nd. Came two weeks early. Good job buddy mommy was ready.
Here it is the start of 2009 and I hope everyone is all up to date. I want to post pictures of each of the boys and tell more about them they are all so different. I was able to quit the bank in January. I am glad to be staying home but do miss the people at the bank. We lost another great person is our lives on January 2nd. Granny Mom (Ray's Grandma) passed away after a long rough battle with cancer. She was truly loved and will be missed greatly.
